Repost • @wewentfast St. Louis Supercross History. ⁠ ⁠ In 1996 the new Trans World Dome hosted the very first Supercross in St. Louis. Jeremy McGrath entered the race with a 13-race win streak, two away from a perfect season. ⁠ ⁠ The championship had already been locked but 15 and 0 for MC was the buzz. Jeff Emig, 25, ended the streak that night, however. It was fitting considering he was from Independence, MO. "That was definitely a big win," Emig told Cycle News.⁠ ⁠ McGrath's mechanic Skip Norfolk still takes the blame for costing McGrath the win that night.
